Random Act of Kindness (RAK)

We truly believe at Cherry Drive that kindness counts and makes a difference in our students' lives'.  Teachers integrate Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) lessons in their teaching and celebrate kindness in their classroom and throughout the school. Students also have an opportunity to learn more about RAK through our student club. Students in this club have spread kindness through the school and the community by makingornaments for senior citizens, creating sidewalk art with kindness phrases, designing kindness bookmarks for the library, and giving students ideas on how to spread kindness during RAK week and International RAK day. Classrooms also do RAK projects. Last year, one 5th grade classroom was recognized on the KEZW morning show for creating Valentine's for Vets. We believe that kindness transforms our school and makes it a place where everyone wants to be! Thank you for reading about RAK!   For more information on RAK: see
