As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, I have the opportunity to work with students in the school setting, ages 0-21. I received my B.A. at Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2004 and studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder to continue my education and receive an authorization for School-Based Speech and Language Services in 2007. My specialty area of work and experience lies with elementary school students, grades K-5.
Due to the changing needs of Special Education and Speech and Language needs in the school district, each school year brings the possibility of change in placement, as I have been an itinerant team member (at several different schools) throughout the district over the last 10 years. As of February 2012, I am a part time team member so that I can spend time with my two kids, 6 & 8 at home. I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog. I love being outdoors, traveling, watching movies and being creative and crafty!
