Welcome to 2nd Grade!! My name is Emily Longville and this is my fifth year teaching at Cherry Drive Elementary and in the Adams 12 School District. This school is a wonderful place to learn and I could not be more excited to continue this adventure!
I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan where my desire to teach was sparked. I moved to Colorado and have loved every minute of being out here! It is a wonderful state with so much to see and do!
As far as education goes, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Elementary Education with a minor in Social Studies. Going to Michigan was one of the best decisions of my life. While I was there I fell in love with Ann Arbor and Michigan football-Go Blue!! As much as I love being a Wolverine I am very excited to be pursuing my Masters at University of Northern Colorado!
Outside of school I like to keep busy doing lots of different things. I moved to Colorado for a reason! My friends and I love to go hiking and explore the amazing wonders this state has to offer. We try to go to the Mountains as much as we can!!
This classroom is very special to me and it will be a class that is safe, comfortable and positive! I value every child in my class and want them to be the very best they can be. I am especially excited to work at such an innovative school with big thinking and plan on incorporating that in the classroom as much as I can! I feel very lucky to be a part of this wonderful community and am beyond excited to be teaching 2nd Grade!!
